2019 NLA Conference

Bruce Douglass will report on the “Transforming Library Services For And With Teens Through Continuing Education” train the trainer event they attended. This is a new nationwide effort by COSLA and YALSA to improve continuing education for teens and all library staff in the fields of computational thinking and computer science using the public library. In their presentation, they will outline the purpose, goals, and plans to support the library in creating a culture of lifelong professional learning for both teens and library staff. A facilitated learning circle will form to discuss the plan and experiences with young adult continuing education programming.
