Virtual reality and augmented reality are more than just popular buzz words in libraries these days. Virtual and augmented realities provide new ways to learn, connect, and engage with library resources. This session will provide an overview of how virtual reality is being used in schools and libraries, why virtual reality can be so powerful as a learning tool, and the powerful results of the first year of the Nevada XR Libraries program, which brought virtual reality technology to 16 libraries across the state.
