Licensing electronic resources for use in libraries is a necessary and important task. However, the process to obtain wet signatures remotely from multiple parties on paper is not only time-consuming but also inefficient for tracking progress. To streamline the process, the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) Libraries adopted a digital signature solution. In this program, the presenters will provide an overview of digital signature technology, discuss UNR Libraries’ involvement in a campus-wide digital signature pilot project using DocuSign and its successful incorporation of DocuSign into the e-resource licensing process, and explore additional library use cases with attendees.
