Join us in cataloging extended reality materials during the conference.  We will be available all day on Sunday and Monday near Lifeliqe’s vendor booth.  No experience required, if you can recognize a MARC record and understand the concept of controlled vocabularies, you can catalog with us. Tutorials will be provided. Our laptops will be loaded with OCLC’s Connexion (with cataloging templates), Lifeliqe’s 3D collection, ClassificationWeb, WebDewey and a project management tracking spreadsheet. Stop by and discover the joy and fun that is cataloging.

Partners recognize this 3D immersive content is simply another form/medium of information and needs to be accessed from any library collection, just like accessing print or e-books, maps, videos or photos and more. The work of the Hack-A-thon in creating these catalog records shares best practices in a hands-on learn by doing professional development event. Soon this immersive content from many publishers will be even more accessible to library users throughout the world via WorldCat. Special thanks to XR Libraries Director, John MacLeod and Lifeliqe Cofounder and President Mark Andersen for helping us organize and obtain access to a collection.
