Anita Wood is a community activist who cares about the well-being and safety of, as well as the quality of life for, the residents of Clark County, particularly those in her hometown of North Las Vegas.  Anita has held many volunteer, elected and appointed positions, and is currently Chairperson of the Friends of the North Las Vegas Library District.  In addition to her many years of involvement with the Friends of the Library and other local non-profit organizations, Anita has served on the North Las Vegas Planning Commission (1999-2003), the City’s Utility Advisory Board (2003-2009), and the City’s Citizens Advisory Board. Anita was elected to the North Las Vegas Vegas City Council in 2009, where she served for two terms representing the residents of Ward 3 (2009-2017).
