Carol was raised in rural Pennsylvania. Her path to the Churchill County Library, where she has been the Director for 6 years, has been long and winding. She worked in a blouse mill, guided trail rides, tested butterfat levels in cow milk and in a factory making computer parts prior to completing her BS in Education from Kutztown University in PA. She worked as a bookseller and as a school librarian before getting her Masters in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University in CA. She has worked as a professional librarian ever since. She loves her job and is passionate about books, reading and ideas. She divides her time between Fallon and Red Rock north of Reno.
