After 25 years in bookstore management, I switched over to the library system, which now has my heart. For 13 years at the University of Nevada, Reno bookstore, I managed and purchased General Books and the Medical department, ran the Campus' Author Event Program, and facilitated our Washoe County School District Library outreach. I lovingly created culturally relevant and visually stimulating displays in the Student Union's glass cases, for every theme imaginable, combining books with articles from my own personal collections. I have also been a party DJ for nearly 20 years, and feel very blessed to be acquainted with quite a number of small business owners in our community as a result. I will be deejaying the reception and awards ceremony, and hope to be able to meet as many of you as possible!
